Bethel GLO Dispensation 1857

This is item is a handwritten Dispensation to form a Lodge called, Bethel Lodge. The charter members written on this dispensation wrote out “Ainsworth” for the name of their new lodge but as the note written on the dispensation explains the name of “Ainsworth Lodge” had already been used.

This dispensation is made up of two different documents which have been unfortunately glued together. The two glued pieces were for decades placed within an old frame with cardboard backing that was taped shut with deteriorated cellophane tape.
